Can I read it as a standalone, without finishing pearl boy, or does it make little sense?
I made two attempts at reading pearl boy but always ended up abandoning it, no deep reason, just didn’t get me hooked. I think I finished 2nd season (50-ish chapters?) so I’m not a complete stranger to the story but I can’t say I remember much.
