Rape is never a light topic at all. I feel like it’s so normalized now that some people just.. seem to be fine with it. Nothing’s okay about it. It really all depends on how the authors tie it altogether. I mean, sure, happy ending, whatever.
Yet lately it’s been so normalized to just.. let the victim get together with their rapist and act like nothing happened??? Since Passion is also from a novel, the ending for Passion itself is kind of disappointing in my opinion. In my opinion, reading the whole series is better as it is, even though there are some other fucked up couples like Christopher and whatever the other name was (I think Richard???), in the novel there’s more depth.
