This is my thoughts but there is very very high chance about one is : the voice is a dead giveaway , by making Ross mute, the author is creating a perfect narrative loophole that allows Eros to stay physically close to Psyche during daylight hours without blowing his cover and the telepathy bound that Psyche can only hear Ross’s thoughts.Psyche’s soul is tethered to Eros because of the divine golden arrow. He can hear Ross's thoughts because Ross's mind belongs to the very god he is magically connected to. And even the way Psyche said Eros and Ross dick size is the same makes it more convincing
