Do you want spoilers? The revenge against him is nowhere as satisfying as Gisele, it's just "woe is me"
ughh yes spoil me!
MC makes a prophecy were the rightful/blessed heir shall be one with the imperial eye and hair color, Gisele's child looks almost like a mirror to her, so the Emperor's acts like a victim (in a way to comply with said prophecy) and'll take many mistress (mostly with similar features as him).
His whole thing was "I won't be like my father, I'll marry a woman I love and have only her and no one else, I shall be the perfect father for my children and love them all equaly", but he crumbles easily.
He basically neglected Gisele's child and favored his many mistress kids. Gisele also loses her mind and starts to groom her child hard, like imprinting on him that the throne is his and only his, she's abusive and cruel. So year, because of MC propechy this boy who we just saw be born is going to grew up neglected, hated and abused.
What happens with the emperor? Actually nothing for a good 20ish years, all the revenge on him was "look, he's just like his hateful father!" while Gisele is a empress in name only.
The true twist? Like the last chapter of the story, MC long married to ML, with children and well in her late thirties, emperor first born (Gisele's child) loses his mind because of years and years of abuse. I don't really remember the details because it made no fucking sense, but I believe it ends in emperor, Gisele and their child death (either by each other hand or execution).
That’s so unfair to Giselle’s child. The kid didn’t do anything wrong.
