This exceeded my expectations. Based on the cover, I assumed it would be a lot darker than it was. It is very plot-heavy, with romance taking the passenger seat imo.
Hong Yoon (MC / uke) is a very endearing character. He's been through a lot of hardships, but he never lost his spark. He isn't a pushover, either, which is a good thing because Lee Taeshin (ML / seme) comes in very demanding and headstrong. You'll get the first impression that Taeshin is a red-flag asshole, but he isn't. I found him to be very considerate and a softie when it came to Yoon. You have to remember that he is a 300+-year-old grim reaper who had to let go of the characteristics that make us ‘human' to keep going for as long as he has.
Although this is tagged as 'pornographic,' there aren't that many sex scenes. Which I preferred. The plot kept me hooked, and Yoon and Taeshin shared a LOT of sweet kisses (thank you, yang energy). I got a lot of butterflies.
It definitely has its critiques, like transitions that are too fast and sometimes hard to notice, many grammatical and spelling errors in the official translation, and some confusing plot points (the novel is probably better for this), but I would give it an **8/10**. The chapters are also pretty long, so although it’s only 53 chapters, they don’t go by quickly. I do wish that we got side stories to see more fluff between Yoon and Taeshin.
