At first I was like "a psycho is better than this guy in knowing whats right" I gues, I was just expecting Varkas — who's only emotionally numb — to treat Thalia better. I was expecting him to know how to read emotions intellectually, like just use logic. But I guess him "having emotions" results to having defense mechanisms which sabotages his outward behavior.
