Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve never really seen unrequited love as something someone should be owed out of. No one is obligated to return your feelings just because you have them and you're hurting. I feel bad that hyung's soul is trapped in the mountain, but when it comes to everything that happened before that there was so much more that could have been done, and that burden wasn't just Geonpil's to carry either. It takes two to make a relationship work, and if it doesn't, it shouldn't be the end of the world.
Geonpil and hyung were simply just the wrong people for each other.
