Chapter 10 leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Aside from the substandard writing. It reduces prostitution as a simple ‘service,’completely ignoring how inherently oppressive this kind of ‘service’ is for women.
I hate how the author alleviates the FL by disregarding the POVs of the women and simply writing them off as being lazy or jealous when there should be levels to ts. Not to mention how absurd it is that the country became prosperous just from a single brothel that they claim to have ‘energized’ the men into working hard for the kingdom.
This story is utter garbage for supporting prostitution. As if it’s not bad enough that these types of stories carry patriarchal and misogynistic ideals (e.g. villainizing the opposing women while the privileged men who did just as bad—if not worse— gets away scat free). It baffles me how this was even allowed to be published in the first place. I hope the author never gets the opportunity to be publish again.
