Honestly, Franz x Karla grew on me. I think it would've been weirder if the story talked much more blantantly about how that stinky uncle is Anna's biological dad, but his existence within the story and the minds of the characters is so intangible and uncharismatic that you can feel, in HD, just how inconsequential he is as anything but an antagonist. The only reason why he was able to take up space is because of his title and dickery.
Still lowkey weird for Franz to be giving Anna the step daughter treatment all of the sudden, but that's also just part of his charm if I think about it. He's already married to Karla in his head lmao. His giddy attitude in contrast to Karla's patience kinda makes me think that she won't be expecting a ring at all, perhaps denying a traditional marriage as a whole. To protect herself but also mostly to keep the emergency exit for Franz open, if that makes sense. Milf mommy is for sure going to be mindful of their age/experience gap, and Franz will either accept it and prove her wrong or talk her over. At least that's what I expect based on vibes.
