Alright, I'm a lil glad that I found this again while looking through the site's catalogue because I completely forgot about this esp after the site went down. I still had a bookmark down for chapter 96 but I don't remember anything anymore so I just had to reread it. Long ass review/opinion only because 3 couples were packed into this.
Boy, the rollercoaster of emotions I went through. First of all, I wanna say that this a pretty good read, but it gets predictable in a sense that there's a pattern of how things were gonna go, main couple was a bit more similar to the 3rd couple but obvi 3rd couple was not that heavy with the backstory and angst. But they do all have the same formula: have walls up, get someone to challenge those boundaries, fall in love with that person but have doubts about it for several chapters, make it hard both of yous and then finally end up together; I didn't hate it though but I did sometimes find myself crying in frustration because cmon man just let it go and be together. Needless to say, I think all of the couples had very different, valid feelings and misunderstandings that were very in tune with their character. Even if the formula was reused for the most part, it was acceptable albeit being a bit boring and predictable. The pacing wasn't shitty either in my opinion, but I've always had concerns about them randomly just falling in love tho and with no apparent reason too, but tbf that happens irl too, I know that happens to me sometimes.
Now for the characters themselves. I don't think I vehemently hated any of the characters, but Seok highkey crazy as hell and a bit too overprotective. He was also weird with Kiwoon sometimes before they even got together idk how that shit was just kinda ignored by Kiwoon. That being said I don't really hate them as a couple though, they're lowkey the light-hearted one only because they're together for most of the manhwa.
As for Hyun, I didn't hate him either but he was definitely a pos and he made it hard for both Kiwoon and Jaeha, more so for Jaeha. I get what some of these comments mean about Kiwoon acting like a victim when Jaeha is literally a victim of DV but Kiwoon is also human. Jaeha heavily needed professional help and Kiwoon was none of that but he tried his best even if it meant. Jaeha's problems were too heavy for a normal person or friend to take in consistently. In the end Kiwoom was already traumatized and I genuinely do not know why a fight broke out aside from Kiwoon misunderstanding the situation but at the end of the day this was Hyun's fault. He was selfish and he knew both sides of the story but decided not to say anything for his selfish reasons that brought unnecessary trauma and misunderstanding between Kiwoon and Jaeha. Hyun obviously tried to make up for it idk if he should have gotten that light of a pardon from the two of them, but honestly I'm just happy someone did take care of Jaeha he deserves it; if you're not super into heavy angst or heavy self-doubt it might be hard to get through season 2, only because Jaeha has so much of that, glad to see he seems to be doing better in season 3.
As for Seungha, it felt weird he liked Kiwoon LMFAO like weird in a neutral way but that kinda put me off ig. I was thinking damn this dude is just giving out therapy for free I'm sure he has something to gain from this right? I just didn't expect it to be for Kiwoon lol. But that doesn't change the fact he is the most level-headed character out of all of them. And because he was so level-headed and tried to be so rational and pragmatic about life, he was actually the most frustrating one to read about because he's overthinking too much but I also get where he's coming but also stop? lowkey like Seungha fr. I have nothing bad to say about Seol-han though
