I usually enjoy misunderstandings in manga/hwa/hua like this one, but ngl, this level of misunderstanding just went catastrophic—with MC having close to no one backing him up, and also that he's an alien with too little sense of how humans work—that I often get triggered a bit and frustrated myself lol. I feel like if I were in his shoes, I would crash out pretty early and scream at everyone, then shut myself down
