Yes I agree cuz when I first got into manga/manhwa media I was watching/reading questionable stuff. Like what, no consent, fetishization, pedophilia, a child and a freaking adult, grape and non consensual shit was all there was to it. And all of this was normalized back in the day. New ones today still has these parts but a they are not normalised thank God. And also there are a lot of good manhwas/mangas too.
Can we all agree that besides nostalgia, old manga/manhwa is worse than the new.
No sugar coating it, new is better. The old ones (few acceptions) all have the same weird ass fetishization of non consent and child features if not over all just children. I’ve been reading since I was around 14 and now that I have a fully working brain, I can’t comprehend why some old clichés were accepted. Don't get it twisted there still are some weird new ones where unnecessary rape and fetishizations are added but it’s way less common now.
