NGL, I know messy relationships like this genuinely exist in real life, but I still can’t help feeling that people like Yoonjoon are incredibly unfortunate. They give everything they have to a relationship, only to end up being played, used, and taken for granted. I didn’t like Jiho. Yes, he had his circumstances and his own struggles, but none of that justifies the way he treated Yoonjoon. But What I actually think the author did really well was portraying how a pathetic, bitter victim mentality can completely distort the way someone sees the world and even their own understanding of love. To Jiho, it felt like the entire world was constantly tormenting him, while there was literally a whole new world standing in front of him, desperately trying to embrace him with warmth and love. Sometimes people become so consumed by their own suffering that even unconditional love starts feeling like a burden. Fear, insecurity, and the constant expectation of being hurt can make someone push away the very thing they desperately need.Love is indeed scary when you don’t know how to accept it, trust it, or reciprocate it.
