I feel like Neil has a personality disorder. Not sure which one or if he has multiple, but his lack of total empathy points does make me wonder. Doesn’t excuse his actions though.
I get why Edgar couldn’t leave his brother behind. I have a much more loving older sibling, but they were pretty vocal if they felt something was “unfair” growing up. Even when you rationalize it, the guilt eats away at your self preservation.
