He's downbad soooo downbad. He's overgrown puppy. Maewha trained him thoroughly I guess, lol, even Yu Nanoh thinks that Gwanchang is the only person in this world who can handle Maehwa. I kinda afraid that if I spoil too much, it might reduce the fun though. But if you are okay you can scroll down further.

He loves Maehwa enough to sacrifice himself and forgone his dream of becoming King. Maewha is the first person who acknowledges Gwanchang as his equal. As an illegitimate prince, Gwanchang was often ridiculed by his brothers, his achievement was never acknowledged by his father, and as a child he was sold to human traffickers by his mother. Maewha acknowledges his intelligence and acts as his discussion partner, something that he never has before. Gwanchang starts to develop feeling for Maewha, and becomes psychologically unstable (gwanchang sadist awakening) when he realizes that Maehwa plans to leave him after reaching his goal (making gwanchang the king). But don't worry, it has happy ending and they end up together anyway.
