Man that was such a ride, I bawled the fuckkk out of my eyes in S1.

Honestly I’m glad that they didn’t do the ‘He came back from the past and held his memories’ trope on Klopp for the mainstory, that man is in denial.

At first, I thought yea Klopp, deeply loves Raphiel and resents the very man that drove him to his death, but after seeing S2 and this is in assumption this is how the events happened in the first life.
He had always been in love with Aeroc, he was actually ridden with guilt when Raphiel was killed and not only that by the very man that Raphiel was a replacement of. He hated the man that drove his husband in name to death, but hated himself for not being able to own up to his feelings causing an innocent person to die.
As for Aeroc, I know his jealousy lead to his own demise, and yes while his intention was to punish Raphiel, he still wished ill on someone who is pregnant and at their most vulnerable.

Retribution is such a finicky subject with this, Aeroc paid it back with 10 times the pain, losing every part of his humanity but the clinging hope of the person that caused him to act irrational. As for Klopp, his retribution only came after Aeroc’s death, I guess the only thing that he suffered was the denial of his actions, and refusing to knowledge the fact of his own feelings. And of course the physical side effects of him losing his bond, as well as the cracks seeping in the family tree (referring to eldest son that ran away, as well as the son he harmed causing him to be disabled).

In S2, I was glad it was in Klopp’s POV, and that the nightmares he was having didn’t become a trigger to remember the past life. I was honestly bracing myself for them to hurt each other again and go on another path of destruction. I’m glad that wasn’t the case.
Although.. Because it was quite clear that Aeroc was the one that held the memories of the past life (or maybe they were just nightmares, and tbh they were more gruesome if we’re comparing to Klopps’). Why the fuck did this dude keep investing in shitty scams like dude that was the reason you became bankrupt in the first life, please think asjdhalsdh. ヽ(`Д´)ノ
Other than that, I am so glad at the end they talk about the past life/nightmare and Aeroc finally got the closure and forgiveness he was after. I am sad for Aeroc though, he will actually never get to meet his children in the first life and that is something we have to accept. It’s just too sad.

For the third life (side AU), this very much solidifies that Klopp did love Aeroc, he was just in denial and I guess (i don’t know the right term but equal to homophobia) since they are both the same secondary gender.
Although, I do wish that he would be chasing a bit harder and more desperate.
Or an au where Aeroc, finally discards his feelings for Klopp, and Klopp is the one trying to gain back Aeroc’s love.
Ahhhh honestly it was just all too sad, sometimes I wished that Aeroc would like snap out of it and be cold, but again that was his character, he will always love Klopp no matter what, as we saw his strong fortitude to endure for the sake of seeing his face and presence.
Honestly glad this was a happy ending although I also wouldn’t mind an unrequited/doom ending just to twist the knife a bit more.
