I honestly feel like Jaeyi and Ideum have a lot more in common with the way they grew up than Ideum and Jiseong because they both had neglectful parents who forced adult feelings and sacrifices onto their children and they both grew up really isolated and without a support system. There's something to be said about both having childhood illnesses and the experience of being stuck in a hospital and not getting to do what you want, but I think Ideum will realize if they spend much more time together that Jiseong had a far different experience than he did growing up and if Jaeyi would just open up and talk to him, I really think their childhood trauma would bring them closer.
