Maybe it's not really that he's taking it out on ideum but more like putting boundaries to himself. Like he's tryna convince himself ideum isn't that important to him. Cuz he said something with his passion and stuff so just like he convinced himself he wasn't serious about judo after losing it to his brother he'e trying to convince himself that ideum is nothing serious either.. by saying he was not waiting. Man he's so blinded by past trauma and fear of losing something dear again to his brother that he can't see just how much ideum actually cares for like buddy he was thinking about you this whole time ideum's literally so thankful to you
