Well I can't speak for this one but most of them barely make money creating these, they also make shit food decisions for their health, some survive mostly on instant food, some of them do the whole thing themselves (story, character design, illustration, etc.) And have tight deadlines. Also because they are often times their own boss, they have God awful work ethics and never actually stop working. Sometimes they don't leave the house or interact with family much due them being hard on themselves to meet these deadlines. Some are also battling depression so the constant shrimp back no sunlight life does not really help with that. Creative people are often times hard on themselves more than anyone else is and will grow to hate their work over time and slowly lose motivation; so to kinda delay/prevent this, they also take breaks. So unlike regular jobs that have a work hour like 9-5, these mfs be thinking about their shit 23/7 and forget that "Oh wait I need food and water to function". God bless the ones that actually have friends and love ones to actually reel them back to reality sometimes.
Also its often times low key annoying for the family and friends to deal with sometimes. The artist would often use their family and friends as references, no Vacation or trip is truly a vacation for the artist because the dumb ahh likes the angle of this building and would like to take pictures of it for their book as reference, so basically STILL WORKING, still thinking about their art. Even worse, they bring their work with them to events. So everyone around them will slowly see them get consumed by their work and would have given them a quick reality check "ey dumb ahh, you look like a ghost, no one will kill you for taking a fookin break man go touch grass" which you would think is obvious but nah these bitches be all consumed with their ideas and fears of "oH dId I drAw tHis FinGeR rIghT?" "Do YoU uNdErSTanD wHaT I WrOtE here? I fear the readers won't understand " OH AND THESE BITCHES DONT HAVE A SLEEP SCHEDULE FOR SHIT SOMEEETIMES
Yall do realize real life authors aren't like the ones in manhwa and manga right? Like they are not depressed workaholic doormats who don't eat/drink/sleep and work 24/7 and drawing is not their whole personality and life right? I know artits myself, and i was one too. If someone can't keep up their healt when their only job is done at one table its their fault, and there is no deadline if they can go on hiatus anytime, artists will and have to do their work (as most people even if its not an artist) even if they get sick or anything they can't just go on hiatus, only if they really are their own boss and thats again actually makes things easier for them not harder thats the truth. Im saying this cuz really a lot of manhwa im reading are going on hiatus for like the 10th time this year, if someone's health is that bad they should be staying at a hospital and get full treatment, or they aren't that sick sorry. I will always appriciate works like these but its just our reality today authors artists etc. They've gotten too comfortable, imagine if hayao miyazaki went on hiatuses all the time. He sure would not be as popular. But in this time of the internet authors, artists,- anyone can easily be known. If its your calling your passion your dream and your whole world (and maybe your only place of income) it will show in your works. And yes there are a lots of artist who have tons of creative block im sorry to disappoint but those people need other jobs and only do that as a hobby and shouldn't give up their health for something they cannot do, they have to mature and realize they can go back to those works and do them even if its 5 years later but yeah they should have other jobs or anything beside that cuz they are clearly not made for it. And thats okay. And i know what im talking ab i almost ended myself because of it i just had to accept it. If they cant keep us entertaind (cuz thats literally a part of their job) then they aren't made for it. And a hell of a lot people battle with depression sadly, we still get the job done. Its just a question of mindset. I do understand the plint you want to make, its just invalid sadly. But i don't understand people who go on rampage cuz authors go on hiatus like, go read something else and you can come back later man..
.... I literally just said all that my best friends does, dude. I wasn't imaging things or giving a hypothetical, I was explaining my first hand experience of what my friends do, which is why I lead with "I CANT SPEAK FOR THIS AUTHOR BUT-". Just because you didn't do that when you were an artist doesn't mean other artists are like you. You couldve read the other replies I did and then responded dude I said all that already. They also have jobs besides their art because sadly this literally does not pay them enough to even survive. Passion can only take you so far man, they can have a passion for what they do and still feel absolutely drained and burnt out, part of life.
I understand its not ab this author im not talking ab them eirther, and yes yes im with you on that it fucking sucks, you really have to work yourself to the bone to get good money from this. BTW I REALLY DIDN'T SEE HALF OF YOUR COMMENTS WHAATT sorry im just reading them now cuz they wasnt there for me when i wrote my reply damn
And I never said it was their whole personality, it's like when they get into the zone sometimes, they lock in for hours then they kinda just... crash after, that's the best I can explain it, man. and then they eat their favorite foods (which are often not good) as a reward for feeling like they did enough and reached the deadline they set for themselves. So basically sure it would be easy for an artist to be their own boss if the artist had decipline, great mental health, goes on walks regularly and all that but sadly that is not the case for all of them. Some even feel guilty for needing breaks and won't actually rest during the breaks. They sometimes just take the break to feel less stress while still drawing and writing for the haitus deadline instead of the usual deadline and try to do as much chapters as possible so they have more wiggle room and not feel like they have to rush constantly. All of them have many reasons and all their reasons for needing a break are valid and I don't think you should discredit what I said just because you used to be an artist and never gone through that yourself. Maybe that's why you used to be an artist instead of still being one, who knows, but it is nice to know your artist friends have a healthy mentality and doesn't beat themselves up over their work and does not take breaks out of passion for their work. Also why do you think they should only take haitus if they are hospitalized? You sound like a toxic overbearing boss. "Workers should never take breaks or sick leave. They should come to work even when sick until it gets to the point of being hospitalized. They should love what they do and want to constantly do it without any break out of passion despite most of them not getting paid enough to even survive off it.Them needing time to recover is wrong and just them being lazy" that's basically what your saying and you sound crazy
I just learned some things the hard way and im not sugarcoating my oponion on this. And i did go through it i just said it. And im not an artist, because i can't use my hands anymore sadly, im just realistic, they should have breaks but if they start something at least they should finish (yes they can still take a break even if they aren't sick). If they can't finish one work because of their health that just means they are wasting time not getting the right treatment and thats not great. I don't sound like an overbearing boss i sound like someone who is concerned about those types of authors because i am. I'm not crazy because thats not what i said/meant. Now i hope you understand how i meant it.
it’s funny cause ur doing all of this arguing for ppl to work more and you’re on a pirating website. bitch go work more and pay for your shit so you can feel like u can rightfully complain. Ur reading stolen work and have the audacity to complain that ur not getting enough and the artist should work harder. they can be lazy if they want cause ur getting it for free. eat rocks

what are authors doing that they’re always in poor health and need a 3 month break from work
