Just finished the novel + side stories. Seunghyeok, honestly, would've been a massive green flag if it wasn't for him being adopted by a cruel man. After all misunderstandings have been cleared up, he deeply regretted everything he had done towards Ihyun.
He disappeared from Ihyun's life after the revelation, thinking that he's the reason Ihyun's life was miserable. Before this, they were running from Jinhyeok's men, and after reaching a deadend, threw themselves from the cliff to the ocean. Seunghyeok stayed in a coma for longer time than Ihyeon since he sustained a lot of injuries from his tussle with Jinhyeok's men before the chase. But after he woke up and seen Ihyeon asleep, he decided it was time to part ways. He put majority of his assets under Ihyun's name and left. Of course Ihyun missed him.
However, Seunghyeok didn't or never really disappeared. He just hid from Ihyun's sight while always spending majority of his time watching him from afar. Ihyun has realized this eventually. After being denied by his parents once more during his sister's wedding, Ihyun left the reception crying and finally met Seunghyeok who was worried. After sharing what's been bottling them up, they made up and promised to get through everything together.
Seunghyeok is just so madly in love with Ihyeon that you'll honestly wonder if he was ever the same person that made Ihyeon's life miserable. While showering Ihyeon with his infatuation, he still remains the same stoic guy he always has been. Honestly not that surprising considering how he's always yearning for Ihyeon in every emotion, whether it's anger, love, confusion, or jealousy, since the first chapter. But either way, you guys don't have to doubt his love for Ihyeon.
The author also didn't brush off the things Seunghyeok did towards Ihyeon prior. When they're both reminded of things from the past or their misunderstandings, Seunghyeok would always regret it. Ihyeon ofcourse would always reassure him, but even then he'd always be sad at the things that he did.
Anyways, he's like any of those rich corporate chaebols from any romance manhwas that shower their partners with affection, money, and assets. He always wants to do anything, whether small or big activities, with Ihyeon just to spend time with him. He'd even ditch work just to eat lunch with Ihyeon. I really enjoyed their relationship in side stories.
