Some people really need to mind their business

Honestly I'm actually sick and tired of being told time and time again that I should put my special needs daughter in a residential home. No, I'm not doing that because she doesn't need it. Yes, she's level 3 support needs (autism) and completely non-speaking, but she isn't violent at all and I can understand her just fine, same as her mother. She's a very polite girl and just because she can't talk and needs support in her everyday life doesn't mean that I should put her in a home. Its not like I'm against those homes because yes some severely disabled benefit from those, and I understand why some families do put them in residential homes. But I don't think my daughter needs it, and besides my girlfriend and I know our daughter best- not some random people who don't live with her. So sick of these comments people give me. One time my girlfriend got asked why she even bothers talking to her..like why you not talk to a non-speaking child? That's like not talking to a baby. She even signs, just not full sentences because sign language is used a lot in our home because I'm completely deaf. Fucking hell some people just need to shut up. Yes my life is hard but I'd do just about anything for my beautiful girl, I'm her father and I'm proud of it. Same as her mother, we are proud parents and wouldn't give up on her. She's happiest at home with us.
