Her goal is to be the Matriarch of the Lombardi. Technically it should not and is not possible to be both the empress and the leader of her household. The conflict of interest would cause a significant tilt in power that other factions would not stand for. Of course our poor girl doesn’t know that Perez would turn the world upside down for her.
