I don't think it's wrong to have high expectations from child even if they themselves didn't achieve that, it's wrong when they get obsessed with the idea and start forcing the kid to study too much etc

I literally hate when the parents (in manhwas) always have high expectations for their kids to succeed academically and become doctors and lawyers and judges, but they themselves are neither a doctor lawyer or judge like how do you have all these high expectations for someone about something that you yourself couldn’t achieve
