All this obsession just because that girl was being nice. I used to be like that female lead. At my old workplace, there was this guy who was kind of an introvert and didn't have many friends. He was basically invisible. One day, he fell in the cafeteria and got his shirt dirty. Nobody even cared, but I happened to be there. I felt bad for him, so I gave him some tissues and asked if he was okay. That was literally it. After that, he kept bothering me. He confessed to me, and even though I rejected him nicely, he just couldn't take a hint. He called me every night and gave me chocolates every morning. I didn't even eat them; I threw them away when he wasn't around because I was scared he might have put something in them. It got worse over time—he followed me home and messaged my mom. I told him to stop, but he was persistent. It got to the point where he told the whole workplace that we were dating. That was the last straw for me. I transferred to another department, but he followed me there too. It was insanely creepy. I told him that if he kept this up, I would quit my job, and he said if I quit, he would follow me. So, I teamed up with HR to pretend I was quitting. Word spread around the office that I was leaving, and as soon as he found out, he submitted his resignation letter. Once he quit, I finally breathed a sigh of relief because I didn't actually quit. I swear, it was so creepy. Just because I was being nice. From now on, I'll definitely keep my kindness in check
