I think the Author has been implying from the start that Gyeol is not a good partner. I dont think this is entirely out of left field nor does it seem like this is meant to be a healing story for Yeseung. Gyeol from the beginning wanted to own Gyeol in some way, His dreams about having him on a leash and the ways in the story we see him fantasizing about having him in increasingly debauched ways. Gyeol doesnt know how to handle Yeseung or his trauma properly and I think this story isnt here to unpack his trauma but more as both of them falling into these traumas and trying to navigate in an unhealthy and dangerous way for the both of them while theyre still actively going through the trauma. Idk just my two cents
