I think FL is doing this often that she became a pro in remembering the save points, while ML has good memory and very intelligent at that, because he nullify anything magic related the FL does work for the intire world except ML, I don't think FL is jumping through timelines but instead the world regress back and fourth like a dvd player replay and forward button, while both ML and FL is watching the same tape which is the world.
@Laie if the world was regressing back and forth with each jump then shouldn’t her past actions change the future ? like i get that she save certain moments in time to jump back to but if she’s traveling back to the past to save the twin brother then when she goes back to that one future where she met the sister then shouldn’t he have been alive? maybe im over thinking it or not thinking abt it enough but it’s a lot of back and forth with no consequences TT
Honestly, I imagine it as her creating a new parallel reality/version every time she saves. So if you imagine a tree, a new branch starts from that moment. So in my mind, her earliest save - that she went back to at the start of a story - had already resulted in two branches (the original one and the one that happened bc of the save), and the future she sometimes goes back to originated from a different branch than the one she is now cultivating. So since she is now on a different branch, she can't have an impact on the "future branch" anymore unless she jumps to that future. Hope that makes sense...

so does ml move in time EVERY SINGLE time she does or how does that work ?? also HOW IN THE WORLD does he remember what is going on in each timeline whenever he gets transported to it ? like i understand her knowing since it’s her power, maybe she just automatically knows the dates/situations she was in when she saves and moves back and forth between them but how does this dude do it ?? i would be LOST each time the time changes !! ALSO who was daddy mf fine ass referring to when he said she looks like his past love ? like was he THAT in love w her birth mother ? cause typically the dad character is loyal as hell to the mom but this one is new w having him possibly getting w a new woman ? cause it’s either that or he was referring to his “first love” as fl when she was an infant, cause he def loved his bbg but idk what exact kind of relationship he had a the mom, ofc im sure we’ll find out in the future but these are all the thoughts that were racing through my mind non stop while reading
