I did a little research and Guwon can be translated to "Protector"/ "Savior"/"protector of mankind." Don't know If is truthful tho.

    It wouldn't be surprising.

There's definitely that theme going on. And having a Greek myth alluded in the name is an interesting choice.

The question I've been having is who is Sisyphus, the king eternally punished to push a boulder up a hill, in this book. Direct correlation would make you think Guwon is the one because he has hounds. But he also made a dog comment that made me think that's not quite right.

Idk. Guess I'll wait for the author's note when this ends.

my latest hunch is that ML could still be the Sisyphus character, in a way that he dies, but gets resurrected again, only to die and be resurrected again and so on and on, he can't escape that fate of being the "protector"; which is why he's so odd looking, and why different personality seeps into his behavior despite being so overwhelming ignorant about a lot of things.
