So I just finished the manhwa, and I was surprised cause I actually started reading yuri’s story first and then switched to reading this one. I was surprised to see that yuri’s role in the story didn’t seem that big to me. He didn’t have much screen-time as I thought he would and was hardly even a love rival. I actually liked this story. The story does not display a healthy relationship on both sides btw for any new readers judging whether to read. I’m surprised the comments are mainly negative, since this definitely is not the worst story I’ve read, there’s more popular BL manhwas on the front page that have worse plot than this.
And to any NEW READERS READ that the people below are super biased.

I’ll point out some things, people seem to mainly be upset at the top (lerusha) for the way he acted. Of course he had his frustrating moments where he acted like a brat that didn’t listen. But let’s point out the facts, lerusha did not actually do the worst things in their relationship. The mc/bottom (alexei/alyosha) beat him nearly to death which required him to be hospitalized for 6 months at the age of 13 and he also did suffocate, confine, and rape the top.
That’s something a lot of people who are hating on the top, are purposefully avoiding mentioning. Now of course he had his reasons for doing all that because he wanted to protect him from the gang leader who’d kill him as soon as he got a hold of his weakness (though the rape actually wasn’t necessary imo).

So part of the reason why readers mainly hate on the top is because they know the reasons why the bottom did all that and know that everything he did is for him. However he didn’t know that. So the top has resentment towards him for not telling him anything about what’s been going on, why he beat him nearly to death, etc. and treats him coldly like a rebellious teenager wanting to ignore and leave home. He also has taken an omega’s side over the mc, more than once. The final part is when he helped the omega escape and separated from the mc at that time.
- - - Those are all the reasons those readers hate the top. Don’t get me wrong, the top was so frustrating and it was sad seeing him take another’s side other than the mc. But I feel like most of these readers being biased are only that way because we’re viewing the story from his POV. Cause let’s face it, if the ROLES WERE REVERSED, people would think the mc is a scumbag. Like an alpha top beating the bottom up as a child, confining, putting chains on their legs, and raping them. They wouldn’t care if the top had his reasons like protecting the bottom. They would also understand the resentment the bottom had after being treated that way and would be cheering and agreeing with the bottom to leave. These readers down there are super hypocritical
