I don't think anything was actually resolved. I believe Ian realized that physical intimacy is a very effective way of placating Michele when he's upset with him (￣∇￣"). Unfortunately, Michele is ridiculously weak when it comes to Ian to the point of considering his body a drug, so it works . Meanwhile the actual problem remains completely unresolved.
