nope ml does not die. he's arrogant and cruel, becoming obsessed to the point of trying to baby-trap her and confine/isolate her in darkness. she becomes so depressed, yearning to escape, and loses the baby. some people, for their own reasons, decide to help her escape. coincidentally ml's brother carries out his rebellion soon after, so she uses the opportunity to escape and is saved by a neighboring kingdom's prince whose mother was mc's mother's old friend. she lives hidden from ml, regains her eyesight, but eventually is exposed bc she doesnt have a choice but to walk into ml's trap, who has been obsessively waiting for like a year for her. she still hates him and he atp realizes his feelings are love and is trying not to act on his selfishness so he can win her back. atp she's not a slave, but more or less an equal in terms of status, and isn't subservient anymore so she's rejecting him. that's where ive stopped, havent gotten to the ending yet, but there is a post on the otome isekai subreddit that spoils it

Since you want the ending. The ending is she becomes the queen in Dortes and the ml remains emperor. She allows him to court her and see her from time to time. It’s an open end but in the end she said she doesnt mind having another baby with him. She forgive him because he treats her better and I think that’s it

Kind of seems fair but pointless (〜￣△￣)〜

i kinda prefer this ambiguous-but-leaning-towards-a-happy ending to a straight-up happy ending in which they completely put the past behind them and have kids. Not a high bar, but already miles better than a lot of 'dark romances' manhwa since she takes a long time to forgive him

Yeh way better than "The Queen Who Deserves to Be Tainted" ending
