Okay from this point and what I understand, the empress is a rapist, abuser, murderer, and has been drugging his son basically, and the emperor is the victim and I get why he barely interacted with MC, and more with ML. And Etienne is actually suffering a shit lot, from being neglected, drugged, abused, and being an unwanted child from both his parents. Hopefully this gets better lol
