it's the second time im reading something about a person after open heart surgery and after getting one myself last year and being on a blink of death it makes me feel seen. it's so nice that I can relate to having the same kind of scar and I also struggle a lot with how it looks sometimes even though my gf tell me it's pretty. but many people still look at it in a disgusting way and it makes me feel so self conscious - especially when they say i should get it somehow removed in the future...
