So there's that. Ml is a trash and FL is a pushover. She seemed bright, but no. She was just hardheaded but no backbone. I commend her for running away and standing up for her child, but that eventually came down the drain when she went back to him. Pretty sure she left him because of that, I don't know if she forgot or that was dismissed. Wdyfm that you realized that you need to be honest with yourself? I literally rolled my eyes.
Additionally, he was clearly trying to manipulate her again if she refuses to go back. Was he thinking of crushing her with guilt through his death? That itself shows how much of a trash he is. Seriously, he got no wonderful trait to even fall in love to. He's just basically a trash throughout the story. His words were always condescending, sarcastic, and demeaning. While he did love FL, it was only centered to himself. He never once considered her feelings. Why does trash MLs can't get a proper character development by admitting their mistakes and apologizing? It won't lessen their lead factor, smh. No need for roundabouts. People shouldn't have to assume you're feeling sorry.
I did not like anyone in this story. Nor hate them. Every one has their own sense of selfishness with ML just plain lunatic. Goodness, FL always seemed to be drawn and portrayed brave and full of conviction. Like she was sure of what she wants. The running arc should've taught him lessons, not to show how much of a maniac he can be, and how love can make you utterly helpless.
IN ADDITION, any disability shouldn't be a portrayal of weakness. The story had always pointed out her physical disability countlessly. I disliked how much relevant it was to her character development. Her trying to dance without the cane shows how much she wanted to stand up for herself, and then being swept by ML all the time— a sign of dependency towards him. It's always subtle but the cripple aspect of her was like a hidden trademark of weakness.
That's all, kbye. This is an good read for those who like this kind of guy. Twisted in a direct way. Did not feel or sense any fluttering romance to it, tho.
