Reading and seeing her giving up hope up to now, her life was heartbreaking. It's devastating whenever I see characters lose such hope for life and essentially give up because they feel trapped and accept their demise that life is not worth living. I wept for her but then seeing that she made her determination to leave, I was happy that she wasn't going to go down without a fight, even the way she told off her stepmom - power to her. Now at this point, if only this were another story, may the Duke live with regret and misery for the rest of his life. I don't wish for Julia to die and even if she lives, I hope she doesn't go back to him as it's a vengeance he deserves. But for the story to continue, the only ways I wish for it would be - redemption via the Duke making sacrifices to turn back time and realizing his shittiness (but I pity the Julia before for her suffering and would still be bitter about it); eventually time turns for Julia if Julia's death is eventually confirmed (though I would love it if she lived a small happiness away from him before doing so; a meager life but still happy with her freedom) and Julia would successfully find freedom and not be with the Duke; Julia lives on and finds happiness without the Duke, the Duke realizes she will never be his and comes to terms with his actions and behavior, still manages to have peaceful ties to her but acceptance that it's his punishment to never be with her. Honestly wish she can just escape but it is a romance so it is what it is and it's whatever will make Julia happy in the end.
