Ah were starting to see a switch into a more serious plot. This is where things really pick up and alot of questions arise but also get answered as we head torwards the end (which is quite far away). A key point of this current scene is yoon gaeul someone who can see the "future" or really what is known as the past (im going to try to tread lightly as I forget what has and hasn't been revealed in the manhua). She sees these fragments that allow her to peek into the past. J has already experienced these fragments if you remember when she visited him for the first time and we learn of the "end".
I cant remember how but she ends up trapped inside the rift and J recives a shard from her. Without hesitation he enters the shard and ends up somewhere else then where she is right now. A memorial dungeon. The system is a bit messed up due to stuff that the plot will explain later. So it's almost like an Easter egg. Now the memorial dungeons will be explained more in depth later by HYS and the plot so its ok to be confused cause at this point we dont really know what they are and why they exist. Just remember that theyre very important.
Think of this scene as clues from the past. J is unraveling what the past has left him behind and we the readers are just as confused as him and will learn at the same pace as him.
The memorial dungeon is again a place constructed from Js past self. When he entered lee sa young was just memory. Kind of like a npc but due to accepting the systems reward his Lee sa young was transported to the memorial dungeon and took the place of the npc. The clearance for this is to live a regular day which you can see why it might be that once you learn more in the future. This is what a past J cherished. I dont want to try to explain any further as it could be spoilers.
Now I would suggest to go with the flow of the story as this memorial dungeon will be explained much further in the story. If you dont want to wait I reccomend reading the novel. Theres a translation online that just finished recently. The manhua will take another two years to reach completion most likely. Were around chapter 140 I believe and the novel is 366 chapters I think.
Hopefully that answered some stuff? Just know youre right there with J and we only know as much as he does. Were kinda just now getting into the deeper plot and its going to get much more intresting from here! (Plot wise and relationship wise :p the next chapter or two will be fun!)
