I understand that(was gonna make a whole reply covering that scenario, but didn't want my text to be too long), but that also doesn't mean u aren't in the same boat as them? That's like when a man claims he's a good man or a feminist, but stays silent around his homeboys whenever they spout misogynistic sht, cuz he's afraid of losing his friends and afraid his misogynistic dad finds out about it. Do u see what I mean?
If you feel a type of way about the way they’re treating her; imagine how she feels. I honestly don’t know if this story you’re saying is real or not, but if it is I doubt your mom would be mad at you for wanting to be nice to someone who’s being bullied. Just tell her that you’re sticking up for her. And with your friends sounds like you surround yourself with some pretty foul people, but regardless if you want to make a change instead of being a bystander ask the girl to meet up with you in the bathroom or sum and ask for her socials. It’s not like people can see everyone you text and all you gotta do is text her and check to see how she’s doing mentally, try to connect with her by asking what her favorite bls are. It sounds like you’re pretty young so all I got to say is that liking what you like is not that serious so people shouldn’t shame you for it, but if you see something wrong it’s wrong of you to watch this girl hurt and do nothing about it
People already gave you great advice but let me add something else. I understand your fears and they're completely valid. Nobody wants to be alone and disliked... but the people that act like that aren't friends that could help you grow and they aren't people that would actually have your back when you need them. That's just a very superficial relationship that's going to tire you out in the long run because you're gonna be afraid of their judgment for as long as you're friends with them. I have some very good friends that stuck with me throughout many life challenges and I'm telling you true friends can be even closer than family. And i also had many friendships that ended over differences that I tried to ignore while we were friends but losing those people has only ever improved the quality of my life...
And remember this, in life, everything boils down to what you feel inside and that will create the type of situations and people you meet. So slowly try to change your internal feelings and act on them with confidence. If you feel shame about who you are, your surroundings will reflect that feeling, so for now if you're still afraid of acting bold about your values that's totally fine, just slowly reach inside your feelings, understand what they actually are, maybe find out what it reminds you from your childhood and try to heal that wounded part of yourself by remembering that you're not a vulnerable child anymore, that you're not lonely because you are by your inner child's side and that whatever happens you can survive it♡ and I guarantee you once you start changing, the people around you will change and anyone that gets eliminated would be someone better gone from your life. And I can promise you one thing, you won't be left alone. You'll have better friends♡ sorry for the long paragraph these were just things I wish I knew sooner in life I hope you can overcome this challenge as comfortably as possible. I'm rooting for you, you're doing great growing up, so don't worry too much♡♡
