Personally I hat3 Yujin, but no one deserves to experience something like this, no matter how f up they are. I'm sad that the author decided to ruin Aaron's character, and it's sad that r*p3 culture in fiction has been normalized. But I'm one of the people who enjoy it though, sorry, it's not because I like the r*p3 but because there's a psychology behind it (I just like reading into lines, deeper into the mind of the characters and the authors), I also connect the author to the story they make, it's kinda complicated to explain, but somewhat, authors are kinda showing how they hat3 men in their stories(not all, but maybe some and others follow because it's a trending genre or there are other reasons, or they're just s*ck in the h3ad, we don't actually know, we are not in the position to assume). And consumers are the same, maybe they hat3 men, or it doesn't bother them, or they didn't notice that it's r4p3, a lot of possible reason. It doesn't wholly justify but it could be an explanation to why it is popular. People consume it not because they want it to happen in real life, for anyone, they see it as pure fiction (not righteous but that's just how the world works).

it’s crazy to me that there are people who blame yujin as much as or more than aaron in this situation. yujin could’ve ran away a hundred times, ragebaited aaron to death and lied even more, and all of this STILL wouldn’t have excused aaron raping him. taking away his autonomy is a horrible thing to do and i know everyone is like „well aaron has been a red flag from the start“ but the thing is, this is what made aaron so intriguing as a character: he was (is) so complex with toxic tendencies but he didn’t resort to sa or rape. toxicity doesn’t always have to include raping and sexual assault, he was so interesting BECAUSE his red flags didn’t turn him into every other bl ml. i still think it’s too early to judge, because we don’t know how this assault will be handled, if it will be glossed over or if there will be real repercussions and i‘m still invested and curious, but hating on yujin is wild. it doesn’t matter if he lies or runs away or is an asshole, nothing justifies aaron’s behavior. but as i said - we have to wait and see how this plays out, it may lead to more complexities in both characters and realistic angsty scenarios.
