he goes ballistic and massacres every single one in the village including kids because his final straw was his wife who, mind you, he never properly formed a bond with, was cheating on him? i mean yeah sure you did go through hell for several years but he couldve asked for a discharge? nobody was stopping him from quitting and apparently hes strong enough to be a defector and evade prosecution.. im not moved by this backstory at all this mc seems abit too rash.. because fym he killed the kid?

The knight guy on the horse told him the thing that ended up destroying him was his choice. If he had made a different choice then he could've lead a much better and a different life. Maybe he could've gotten the happiness he wanted. That's why I also don't really sympathize with his backstory.

Someone said, apparently his wife never knew he was still alive that why she moved on. So, it's not really ntr.

Yes, I agree. His choice to kill in the beginning and continuing for endless of years until his death isnt anything to be proud of so I wonder why his original life as Riki is portrayed as a good warrior several years after his death. I read more after the prologue and I am intrigued but I'm still on the fence about the mc.

I read it on another site with comments and ppl there were calling it ntr which is obviously a gross oversimplification but I just wanted to say my opinion on it - ntr isnt the worst thing in the world and not a good justification for murder.

But didn't it say in the story that she DID know he was alive and they were living off the money he was sending back to her? he also said that the lots for choosing who was to go to war was rigged. The only thing she probs didn't expect was him coming back from war . Not to say I'm justifying his action. They are shit. But she also had many chances to tell him about the affair if she was still receiving money from him. If you marry someone else and letters obviously exist and can be sent to the battlefield, maybe, i don't know, tell the man hey no need i got married i couldn't wait for you. I'd be hurt af if i that happened to me while i endured the torturous battlefield tbh.

Also, hard to tell in the manwha if he drew the sword first or if they raised their knives and shit first on him when he came back home. Either way shitty thing he did but they could have prevented this to a degree

I also think, he's degrading mind added to why he did it.

He wanted to come home because he was mentally and emotionally losing it....
So, it was the final straw to discover the cause of all his suffering were the villagers, who doesn't seem to be regretful of sacrificing him....

It doesn't make what he did as right tho and I think the story does portray it as that way.

Maybe his reincarnation was a chance to make amends for all the killing he did.

Lmao! She used the money sent by him every time to live her life with husband and kid, ofcourse she'd know and tbh Idk why everyone is going so crazy about him killing, I pity him and it's understandable why he did
