I personally love Cesar, love Adele and absolutely love their story. Especially the high society stuff. I like when something feels like it isn’t manufactured to please the audience and only cares about telling the story while remaining loyal to the setting and characters as established. That’s how/why chapter 1 had me hook, line, and sinker. Funny enough, my favorite moments between Adele and Cesar have been with them just taking with one another. Every time they’d just speak about their world like that, I hoped there’d be more of it. It was literally how she ended up falling for him in the first place, and it was interesting to see how he belonged to the high society while not having the exact same mindset.
Anyway, I’m already looking forward to rereading this once it’s finished and I’ve stepped away from it long enough to forget some plot points.
