Well when the rape itself was uncalled for in any capacity for the plot (literally was the author's call) and has zero relevance or effect on the plot thereafter it leaves a PRETTY bad aftertaste for others. I agree, if people don't like it they shouldn't concentrate on it and stop reading or forget it even happened but the truth is it was still a shitty fucking plot twist
The rapist (wtf is his name even) is trash, but y'all acting like this is your first time seeing rape in a BL. Do you act like this in every single BL with rape? I'm personally sick of rape that serves no plot (aka literally useless and glorified/fetishized) but I'm also not pressed. Unfortunately, many BLs have rape. If you get super upset about it, don't read it. Simple.
