when I read that comment below me I remembered that there’s memes using rape as a joke such as the meme audio that was popular a while ago on tiktok of a guy saying he didn’t wanna go to jail since he’d be a word rhyming with grape (raped)
And I was also thinking of my own country where I’d see some people joking how they’re gonna touch their friend or when they feel jokingly harassed they’d say they feel like they’re being raped or so on
I didn’t wanna rant like how I’m doing now and say what you did since I think there might be few victims who use humor to cope with SA/rape (?)Either way the ones making the jokes online most of the time don’t seem to have a inkling of how horrifying it is… of course that’s not everyone I’m sure there are victims who joke around to help themselves but it’s complicated if everyone thinks it’s okay to do that even while not being victims of SA or rape…
If I sound preachy please ignore me or if I make no sense ☠
I’m no saint I think I laughed at things I shouldn’t have so I don’t wanna be a hypocrite but I think that rape culture exists in every country and even with the simplest thing as a harmless rape joke still shows how us as a society still haven’t progressed much from the past. Again I think it’s quite dumb for me to type this much but even on an illegal site like this I think we need to further educate ourselves (meaning those who aren’t victims should be sensitive and careful with such a topic and not dismiss it because they’re only joking)
there is no need to censor the word rape. call it what it is. rape. not grape. censoring the word rape dilutes the meaning of the word. there is no unserious, nicer, or less harsh word for rape. rape is always serious. rape is violent, brutal, mentally and physically damaging, gives people life long trauma. It is torture. people should use the word rape when they are taking about rape. it should be normalized. rape needs to be talked about.

Omfg why are almost all the bl im reading have grapesjdjsjnssn
