Don't worry it's not rude at all! I'm female to male, so I was born a woman but transitioned into a man. I only have top surgery and haven't bothered with bottom surgery because it's really expensive and at the moment I can't afford that, I probably won't ever actually bother with it. I do take testosterone injections and if I'm going to have sex, I use a strap-on. I do pass as a man though, the only thing I haven't done is just bottom surgery.
