MC used to be a reporter for the crime department? But because he made a report questioning the truth about ML's parent's death and not another judgy, paparazzi piece, he was transferred to entertainment as punishment. But that's why ML loves him so much cause he actually cares about the truth.
Still he's hoping to get back so he and his former boss of that department are investigating some sort of drug ring thing going around.
