I’ve noticed this too since I’ve read a lot from both bl and bg stories. In bg it’s a bit different but the undertones are still there, while with bl it’s like right in your face. As a writer I have never felt thr urge to randomly have one of my nain characters become a rapist so idk what’s going on in these authors brains
