i was thinking that they should've confessed before and not let 20 years go by without talking but as i read back, i realized that it was takuya who fell first and when he felt that minori wasn't going to return his feelings (seeing that he introduced him to his gf) started to bury his love. minori on the other hand realized his feelings later, and was probably questioning himself and his sexuality, paired with not accepting himself fully, thus, burying his feelings. if you just look at it in a surface level, you'd think, or scream at them to just talk... ig they should've... but, if you thought about it deeper, esp with how they are as a person and the society, it almost feel impossible to even utter that you like your friend that's also a man. that you're gay, that's why you're disgusted when women shoot their shot at you. it took them long enough but i'm just glad they both found the courage to finally be together and have their happy ending with the people who supports them. i love them sm
