cant there be a story where its like mc leads to a path of self destruction bc he cant seem to cope the loss of his wife and the brother in law sees all this and aches, and tries to stop him as such, like the process comes in waves like the mc is getting better then it goes back down again, and then one night he gets really drunk and spills out everything and then the ml (brother in law) voices out his pain and highkey confesses but bc the mc is so drunk he doesnt rmb fully, after that night the ml tries to restrain themselves a bit more and mc notices the distance but doesnt say anything. the ml sees other people while the mc tries to focus on himself and also tries to pursue a “friendship” with the ml but ofc the ml tries to dodge these advances. a little bit more back and forth and also mc getting flashbacks of that night where the ml confessed, then the tension snaps the mc corners the ml and presses them on why theyre ignoring them and also about that night, the ml still continues to be silent by saying nothing happened and then the mc breaksdown and confesses that they like the ml, they cry and have this bittersweet moment, accepting their relationship and freeing themselves of the guilt of dating one another as it feels like a betrayal to their love one. anywayssssss whatever only one can dream
