I hate the childhood friends to lovers / characters knew each other briefly during childhood trope. Why isn't it enough for the characters to have met as two grown adults and found each other interesting enough/ sexy enough to want to be in a relationship with each other?
Love Hate Prince was so good and then of course there came the " You don't remember but we actually knew each other as children trope" like stop it!
YOU'RE SO RIGHT. And its even worse when there's no foreshadowing or clues throught the story It feels more like an attempt to make their relationship more "pure" or "destined to be together". And I fucking hate it

It throws all the progress they made as adults off and adds nothing interesting to the story! and omfg I hate the soulmate trope in every shape and form it comes, it's so much more sexier when two people go against fate to be with each other.
