Besides, the psychotic shift here feels more harsh because it was on the lighter side for most of the story (ML-wise) so the almost dark grey area we're now in seems blacker than it is.
When the story starts off with this level of confinement, the chase isn't as uncomfortable.
Here's the low bar it cleared, no SA and no literal beating.
