he's had a kid before, but it's not a given that he was ever a primary care giver. His wife wasn't dead, so he may have never had to deal with that. lol I never read it as him seeing him as a rival.

one thing that has been kinda bothering me is blackie… especially now that he’s in his human form a lot, it feels like the others have been getting dumbed down so he can be the real savior (?) if that makes sense. bc wdym NONE of them knew how to take care of her when she was sick? not even the guy who’s had a kid before? it wasnt like she needed special treatment it was literally just a fever. his attitude isnt helping either and i dont like the way he talks about her dad like “that man” he isn’t your rival bro
