It's not as easy as it seems even if they love each other Baekhee lives with extreme shame and sorrow from the abuse he's endured all his life and the manipulation of Gyeom. He knows Il-woo would understand but even knowing that, it's still difficult to reveal something painful and traumatizing, love doesnt immediantly cure and fix a person's wound ...plus the circumstances isn't going to allow a deep conversation. Right now Baekhee is probably worried if Il-woo's hurt and terrified what's gyeom going to do to them both. Il-woo probably feels guilty af for making baekhee faint and see that violence.....and horrified under all that anger at what baekhee has been suffering....
